  There seems to be lots of suggestions online and one is that the brown colour comes from a combination of bile being metabolised by bacteria in your intestines and bilirubin. It is a healthy colour for poo.
  
  Urine is yellow due to chemicals called urobilins, not sure it should be greeny though!
