• Question: Why do some dogs wander no further than 100m away from the owner?

      They just want to be near that person all the time, partly because of the pack instinct and they may see the owner as their pack leader, some dogs may want to protect the owner but mostly there is a very strong bond and the dog wants to stay close. Sometimes dogs may just feel insecure without their pack leader to reassure them.
