• Question: why do sharks hunt alone and not in a pack surly it would be more productive if they hunt in a pack

      Many sharks actually do hunt in packs! The whitetip reef shark does for instance. They do this to capture elusive prey.

      But for those that hunt alone? If you could capture you dinner on your own without bother, why would you take along a bunch of other guys to eat it with you?

      Even if they hunt alone they often share the same hunting ground as other sharks
