0 Question: Why do people have different hair colours? :-) Keywords: genetic, hair, hair colour Asked by oona12 to Charlotte, Jo, Kevin, Louise, Valeria on 15 Jun 2012.
Kevin Mahon answered on 15 Jun 2012:
It’s down to genetics. The origins of hair colours have their roots (no pun intended) come from our ancestors geography!
Joanna Cruden answered on 17 Jun 2012:
It depends which hair colour gene is dominant and which is recessive so you may have hair the same colour as one parent or the other, be a throwback to your ancestors or have have hair which is a mix of the two colours
