      No, animals that are bored tend to show this through stress and repetitive behaviours – a general rule of thumb is rest is not a sign of boredom.

      Cats do sleep a ridiculously long amount of the day however – some for 20 hours! Cats sleep to conserve energy, especially when they get older. As they are predators by nature, they sleep in order to reserve the energy necessary to perform the very energetic predatory behaviours needed to cat a mouse (or play with their favourite toy!)

      If a cats bored, they’ll let you know less subtley, usually at the expense of your furniture :/
