• Question: why can't we train cats like we can train dogs?

      I think that cats are just very different to dogs, partly it is down to how people selective breed them so dogs were selected more for obedience whereas cats were used for catching mice and rats and selected for that.

      You can train a cat but you have to pick a responsive cat, dogs are naturally far more responsive partly because they are a pack animal and see their owners as the pack leader. Cats are more solitary and independent.

      Cats are also less receptive to changes in our voice tones or our facial expressions.

      But depending on the cat, on your dedication and on what you want to teach them is possible to train cat, I can assure it!
