Well some animals have evolved to live a solitary lifestyle as it was advantagous for them to do so.

The reasons for this are very varied, but some examples include increased access to resources, lower liklihood of inbreeding, better success at hunting etc.

Many independent animals are solitary as they are very territorial and aggressive towards members of the same species. By living alone, they reduce aggressive encounters and don’t waste energy fighting.
