• Question: why are reclusive spider bites so harmful/disgusting

      Well they evolved independently of humans thinking they look disgusting!

      But their posion have developed as a means of prtoection from predators and a way of subduing prey to survive – it’s their means of surviving!

      Being toxic is a good deterrent to avoid being eaten, lots of spiders use toxins to subdue prey. I think spiders are quite attractive in their own way but I would not want to find one of these in my house!
