Question: which type of animals have the best memory?

Believe it or not, we did actually think it was elephants for a long time (an elephant never forgets!) but some researchers think sea lions may have the best memroy, following work that showed an individual remembering tricks they had been taught and not practised in over ten years!

Pigs and Dolphins are considered among the most intelligent animals out there but I’m not aware of any long term studies looking into memory in these animals! That’s the problem with long term memory studies – they take a long time!
