• Question: when you adopt an animal (such as a dolphin) what good does it actually do for the dolphin? :p

      Usually with those adoption programmes its a way for charities or sanctuaries/reserach groups to get funding – obviously this helps the dolphin in numerous ways!

      You help the scientist to help the dolphin..however it depends to which association you give the money. Sometimes the fundings are used for education and awareness, other times they goes into research. Make sure you know exactly how they money will be utilized

      It is really good to support and adopt these animals but make as Valeria says you
      must make sure they tell you how the money will be used, this is the same for all charities really, check out what the administration fees are and donate to the charity that uses most of your donation directly for the animals (or whatever the cause is!)
