Difficult to say – they are highly advanced social animals so there is an element of guessing here – highly advanced animals such as these are unpredictable by their very nature and meeting a species that for the most part it never encounters in the wild (bar one tiny tiny population in Asia) is obviously an unpredictable event!

However – drawing on some facts we could make a prediction! Lions are quite aggressive and lions fight in the wild quite a bit. Male tigers on the other hand fight much less and avoid aggressive encounters more (despite being big and scary). So I guess the initial reaction would be quite wary with some aggressive posturing etc and possibly the lion initiating aggressive behaviour.

Tigers and Lions are both large, stealthy predators – they tend to treat unknowns with great suspicion, thats why I think it would inevitable end in fighitng!
