• Question: what is the worst thing about being a scientist?

      Being constantly attacked by mobs of screaming female fans. Justin Bieber has the same problem I think.

      Believe it or not but we there are a lot of meetings and emails and administration to be done. It’s more fun to actually be teaching or be in the field collecting data. Unfortunately, I have very few screaming female fans out it, unlike Kevin and Justin Bieber. But I have hopes for the future – certainly after this event!!

      The worst thing for me is knowing how strongly people can react to my working environment, I have never been one to hide what I do but some people can be very aggressive and don’t try to listen to what I say and have already made up their own minds about me before they even talk to me. That can be tough.
