• Question: My teacher told me that dogs can sniff peoples illness' aswell as drugs amd things, is this true?

      There has been some limited work done on this yes – dogs have been shown to be able to identify cancer patients with a high level of accuracy after some training. ANother study I’m aware of is dogs being able to pick out people with diabetes, although not as accurately.

      So it’s definitively biologically plausible, but in my opinion there has to be a lot more study and confirmation of effectiveness! These studies only used 5 or so dogs so obviously we need more work to be conclusive but it’s a promising (and weird) start!
