      Yes – hybrids are by their very nature sterile meaning they can’t reproduce!

      This is because they process of making a hybrid gives them an irreulgar number of chromosomes – which means they can’t make functional gametes, which are the cells that fuse during fertilisation.

      Although hybrids cannot, Genetically Modified animals can reproduce
