• Question: In the future will insects evolve to human size, or just slighlty bigger than they currently are so they can become better predators? Is it possible?

Unless conditions arise that suddenly mean insects that are bigger have an advantage under natural selection, I don’t think so. Most insects get preyed upon so being bigger means being a more obvious target. It’s difficult to discuss in generalities when talking about insects however – there are nearly 10 million species that we know of alone!

But then again if we were to suffer a 6th wave of mass extinciton, who’s to say what will happen?
