Because I believe there is a lot of misinformation as well as poor lines of communcation between these groups. I believe that by having this meeting or seminar, it would be an invaluable opportunity for these groups to get up to speed on the latest research findings, as well as what is going on abroad and what work is going to be going ahead.

At the moment, there are some groups wrongfully claiming that work has shown these systems are good or bad – I think these kinds of issues are fueling the controversy and helping no-one, especially cat owners. I think by having this meet, I’d be able to address this sort of thing as well as bring forward the concerns of the owners I have interviewed as part of my project as well as hearing any issues or queries these groups may have!
