• Question: How come some dogs sing and others don't? My Mum's dog sang but my dog doesn't.

      Dogs ‘sing’ for various reasons as they use barking and howling (singing) as a form of communication, some breeds sing more than others so maybe you are talking about two different breeds.

      They may howl because of a high pitched noise which may hurt their ears but we don’t know for sure. They also howl if they are lonely, bored, and also to let other dogs know they are there. It is all part of their communication, it it becomes a problem you can talk to dog behaviourist who may be able to help you get to the root of the problem
