• Question: Have you seen the video inwhich the lion is being sold in harrods and then he is released into the wild, then a year later they go to where he was released and the lion comes back to them? if so, do you know why the lion did this?

      I have, it’s quite astounding!

The lion imprinted on the owners from a very young age – in its mind they were family or even parents as it knew them from being a cub. The bond formed was very deep so it was not really a surprise that is came back to them and acted how it did. It’s quite moving!

No I have not but I will look out for it, I saw the film Born Free where they raised a lioness cub (Elisa) and released it to the wild and Elisa always remembered them, you can form really strong bonds with animals.

Many years ago I went to a seal sanctuary in Cornwall, it was right on the coast and one of the seals they had released back in the wild near the sanctuary popped back for regular visits and some free fish!
