That all depends! I do love research but you never know where your life will take you!

I would not like to work in an office, Zoo often do carry out research projects so moving to a Zoo may not stop me mixing science with animals, although the aims would very different. I go with the flow and make the best of things wherever life takes me.

I thought of this many times. Sometimes I think working in an office would be easier, but then I think doing the same thing every day would be boring.
The equivalence of zoo for dolphins are aquariums but I don’t agree with keeping dolphins in captivity since it has less conservational value than for other animals kept in zoo. Thus I won’t accept a work in a dolphinarium. However I agree that you never know where life will take you and what opportunities you will have. Sometimes you need to be flexible and love what you do whatever it is.

I think working in a zoo might be frustrating when you’ve worked with certain animals in the wild. Although many zoos nowadays have excellent facilities and take really good care of their animals, I can’t help but feel a bit sad sometimes. But then again, many animals are now born in zoos and they don’t know any better. I do work in the office a lot of the time already, but really enjoy teaching students. Also, there are often very cool field courses to take students on. I’ve been to Bettyhill (all the way in the North of Scotland) and to Kindrogan (in the Cairngorm NP) with students this year and it was lots of fun!!
