      Yes many dolphins live and travel in groups. However the dimension of the groups depends on the species and on the type of society they have. Some dolphins like the bottlenose dolphins (like Flipper) travel in small groups averaging from 5 to 20 individuals. Other dolphins, as the common dolphins or the spotted dolphins, can travel in groups of more than 800 individuals!
