Animals share some of our emotions, they react to situations that frighten them with a fear response in the same way we do, they can get stressed and nervous in novel environments and if you sneak up on them they will jump in surprise and if you wake a sleeping animal they may get grumpy just like my son does when I wake him in the mornings! So while they may not share all our emotions exactly the same there are similarities for sure
