Do you mean by electronic containment systems? We don’t really have the data to say that much yet, there is a greater liklihood of mental harm as opposed to physical harm with these systems – but that’s just a theory at the moment. We’ll hopefully know in due time!
I guess it may be the same as when you use them for other animals like cows and horses, cats are so intelligent I cannot imagine they would be harmed, and I think there would be a lot of benefits for cats as people do keep cats in the house and never let them out because they are worried about them getting stolen of injured or pregnant, so this method has the potential of improving the lives of some cats and protect other cats, it may also reduce unwanted kittens.
