• Question: You know people sometimes have distorted vision and need glasses, do animals ever get distorted vision, and if they do, how would it be sorted because they can't get glasses? Would they just die!?

Animals with distorted vision in the wild will be at a distinct disadvantage – particularly if they need to hunt hard to catch prey to survive or elude stealthy predators. They may be fortunate and be a species that has a lot of altruism (animals helping others) but as a rule they would not survive long term in the harsh conditions.

      Thnak goodness for specsavers then!

Yes I am sure they do and they just have to cope with it in the wild, for domesticated animals we can take them to the vets and sometimes the vet can treat the vision problems. I don’t think it seems to be as common as with humans but maybe we just don’t realise how widespread poor eyesight is with animals.
