      Cute and cool animal!

They are arboreal, meaning they spend the majority of their time in trees and are found in rainforests mostly in places like NEw Guinea and Australia.

As they live in trees they mostly eat leaves, nuts and berries. They also eat other items such as grains, flowers, sap, eggs, young birds, and even bark!

      They sleep in trees!

Ancestral kangaroos all lived in trees, but we know they adapted to come down, at some point on this evolutionary timescale, the tree kangaroos decided to return to the trees – we’re not sure why exactly but it is posbbily becuase there was less competition here than on the ground.

They are very elusive and shy – so they tend to not interact with humans, we have trouble getting video footage or photos of some species at times!

      Hope that helps!

I had not heard of these before but I just looked them up and they are very cute, they are close to extinction because they are being hunted too much, they are incredibly shy and unlike the regular Kangaroo tree kangaroos legs are all the same size so their front limbs are strong enough to be useful for them to climb trees
