  I’m awful at physics but my engineer friend assures me no – its not so much the weight we put down, but the velocity, and we could never reach the velocity required to knock our planet out of a fixed orbit

  I would love to see someone try to get every person in the world to jump at the same time, it would be a logistical nightmare.. mind you on one website it did say it may create an earthquake but I am not sure how serious that was!
