I do specialise in one species at a time as part of my education, for my degree I choose mice and my PhD is now rabbits, however for my day to day job I try to help all the animals I work with and one of the great things about my current job is that my whole role is to try and find ways to refine and improve the welfare of all the species we work with.

Pretty cool and for someone like me close to a dream job, the dream job would be working with these lovely animals in an non-research environment and helping to meet their needs and try to understand and learn about them in the same way I do now!
